/NOVOSTIVL/ To participate in the educational program, you must pass an online test to determine the language level.

The free online summer language school “Speaking cloud” was created by the participants of the ASAP project and the Association of Russian and Foreign Students (ARIS) of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). For four weeks, students will learn one of the language programs through practical tasks /exercises and immersion in the learning environment. Classes start on August 3.

According to the organizers/organizations, the project is aimed at helping students of(from) different courses(years) and majors to speak foreign languages ​​more confidently. This is a great way to overcome the language barrier. Useful materials will always be at hand, and you can study anywhere - at home, in the office, in a cafe.

To participate in the school, you must pass an online test to determine the language level. Depending on the scored points, the grouping will be made. Participants can choose one or several languages ​​to study:

  • English;
  • Arabic;
  • Spanish;
  • Chinese;
  • Korean;
  • Russian;
  • French.

Students are expected to have interesting lectures, stories about different countries, exposure/debunking /dispelling of myths and stereotypes. Classes will be held with teachers on the Zoom platform. Participants will be able to perfect their speaking skills in speaking clubs and use helpful resources posted on the site and in groups. It is noteworthy that foreign students of FEFU will serve as/will play the role of teachers of the targeting language. They were drew in the Speaking cloud thanks to the ASAP employment service.

Every week listeners will have a new topic:

  • acquaintance - characteristics of the language, the main personalities;
  • communications - general rules of behavior, relationships between people in different social groups;
  • environment - the study of topical environmental issues;
  • culture - literature, poetry and visual arts.
