Online Youth Round Table on Underwater Robotics in Asia-Pacific will be held in Vladivostok
The event is hosted by Russky Technopark, the leading innovation hub of the Russian Far East
/NOVOSTIVL/On September 24, 2020, “Underwater Robotics in Russia and Asia-Pacific after COVID-19: Challenges and Perspectives” Youth Round Table will be held in the online format.
The event is conducted in frames of the "Prospects for the Development of Sea-based Robotic Complexes (Systems)" Research Conference organized by Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University and other national partners. The Research Conference along with Aquarobotech National Underwater Robotics Competition has been successfully organized in Vladivostok since 2018, gathering the top faculty and experts, and marking the rapid development of the high-profile underwater robotics cluster.
The Round Table will gather young underwater robotics professionals and experts from Russia and Asia-Pacific countries for the discussion of COVID-19 impact on such hi-tech industry as underwater robotics. As part of the program, guest speakers will share their vision of the current trends on underwater robotics and discuss some case studies on the topic.
The event is hosted by Russky Technopark, the leading innovation hub of the Russian Far East, and organized by Far Eastern Federal University and Center for Robotics Development with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The list of participants will include speakers and guests from Japan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and etc.
According to Dmitry Borovikov, Russky Technopark CEO, “Such networking events are quite important to foster Asia-Pacific cooperation in underwater robotics, especially in light of severe consequences of COVID-19 pandemic. We believe FEFU can become a very important player in this field, after the crisis is over.”
