Director of the Center. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg noted that a person at the time of vaccination should not be in the stage of exacerbation of the disease
/NOVOSTIVL/ There are no contraindications for vaccination against the Sputnik V coronavirus for allergy sufferers, however, at the time of vaccination, a person should not be in the acute stage of the disease. This was stated by the director of the Center that developed the vaccine. Gamalei Alexander Gunzburg.
"If the allergic person, again, is not in the acute stage, then, of course, he must be vaccinated, and there are no contraindications. Here is also shingles, if it is not in the acute stage, a person does not have a rash, of course, he must be vaccinated. But if for example, if you are allergic to house dust, which is very often present, then after vaccination for some time and before vaccination, of course, contact should be avoided so that there is no attack, "said Gunzburg.
If a patient suffers from a specific allergen, including allergies to various blooms, then he should be vaccinated when he is sure that he will not be in contact with this allergen for several weeks, the scientist added.
Earlier, the medical journal The Lancet published the results of the third phase of the clinical study "Sputnik V", according to which the effectiveness of the vaccine is 91.6%, among volunteers over 60 years old - 91.8%. Antibodies to coronavirus after vaccination with "Sputnik V" were found in 98% of the volunteers. Cellular immunity was found in all trial participants. Immunity after vaccination was 1.3-1.5 times higher than after the previous illness.
